The Resort

Happo One is the most famous ski resort within Hakuba and is located at Happo Village. Happo Village has many lodgings, restaurants, shops, transport options and other amenities. Happo One is a huge resort covering 220 hectares and 13 courses of piste terrain.

Happo One hosted the slalom and ski jumping for the 1998 Winter Olympics due to the 1701 metres of vertical drop and steep pitch. Happo is also now more accommodating of off piste skiing and you can access Hakuba’s famous backcountry from the top of the resort. There is the option of going on a backcountry tour through companies like Evergreen Outdoor Sports.

Happo One receives an average snowfall of 11 metres per season. Happo is higher than all other ski resorts giving you quality snow but leaves you exposed to the climate and weather conditions.
