Big things are happening at Hotel La Neige. Now proudly managed by Hakuba Hospitality Group, the iconic hotel is entering an exciting new chapter. Renovations are set to begin this fall as they prepare to introduce their unprecedented La Neige Experience — think personalized butler service, Michelin-level dining, and elevated luxury at every turn.
What’s coming exactly? A stylish new cocktail bar, upgraded in-room amenities, and a reimagined room category system to make booking easier than ever. But don’t worry — the signature touches that have made La Neige legendary are only getting better.
Guests can still look forward to daily-replenished in-room minibars (yes, complimentary), ski butler services, fireside après sessions, thoughtful welcome gifts, and so much more — all reimagined to set a new standard in alpine hospitality.
Changes are coming to Hotel La Neige — but its soul will remain untouched. The entire first floor of the hotel will undergo a full renovation, including the dining room, lobby, and kitchen. While the spaces themselves are being reimagined for comfort and function, the building’s original spirit — a Frank Lloyd Wright–inspired architectural gem — will stay at the heart of it all. It’s a careful balance of honoring legacy while updating the essentials for a new era of hospitality. Seen below is Hotel La Neige followed by Wright’s famous prairie house style works including the Dana-Thomas House, Darwin Martin House, and Frederick Robie House.
Lloyd’s Bar is part tribute, part experience. The cocktail list takes cues from his travels, his love of nature, and the era he helped shape. You’ll find creative twists on classics, seasonal flavors, and drinks that are all about balance and craftsmanship.
With vintage photos of Hotel La Neige and Wright’s iconic designs from Japan and beyond lining the walls, the vibe is both nostalgic and fresh. Every drink has a story, every detail’s done with care, and the evening just flows — effortlessly stylish, quietly bold, and always memorable.
At Hotel La Neige’s restaurant, the approach to food is refreshingly simple: let the season and the region speak for themselves. With aspirations toward Michelin-level dining, the Chef de Cuisine and team craft meals inspired by the natural beauty of Shinshu and its surroundings.
Menus shift with the seasons, highlighting locally sourced ingredients—from crisp mountain vegetables in spring to earthy mushrooms and herbs in autumn—all brought together with refined French technique and a strong nod to Japanese seasonality. Each set course is a thoughtful progression that reflects both the local landscape and a commitment to exceptional flavor.
To make booking simpler and more straightforward, the team at HHG has streamlined room offerings for the 2025/26 winter season and beyond. While every room at La Neige still has its own unique charm and character, each category now includes the same high-end amenities and inclusions, so you can focus on choosing the space that suits your needs.
The entry level room type – this space provides the perfect combination of comfort and functionality. Guests have a twin/double bed configuration, spacious bathroom with bathtub, and private balcony.
A step up brings guests to the Deluxe Room. Premium American-made jacuzzi baths, private balconies, and extra lounge space make every difference.
