Known as the “Scenic Soul of Hakuba,” Oide Park is a beautiful 5.9-hectare park along the Himekawa River. It was created in 2006 to preserve the area’s traditional countryside look. The park offers postcard-perfect views featuring a wooden suspension bridge, traditional thatched-roof houses, and a crystal-clear river—all set against the dramatic, snow-capped mountains. It is a favorite spot for photographers and artists year-round. While beautiful in any season, the park is most famous from late April to early May. During this time, blooming cherry blossoms create a stunning contrast against the snowy mountain peaks.
