The Resort

Tsugaike Kogen Ski Resort is another popular ski resort suited particularly for beginners and families due to it’s safe terrain. Tsugaike also features night skiing giving you a different experience on the slopes with a fantastic atmosphere!

Tsugaike doesn’t offer ski lessons in English but is a great spot for learning to ski or board with super wide mellow slopes. Tsugaike also has a village which is more Japanese compared to the westernised Happo Village.

Despite not being suitable for advanced skiers with only 1 black run, Tsugaike is well known for it’s backcountry access and is permitted by the ski patrol. Tsugaike also has several terrain parks with the best being at the top of the resort which is best later in the season.
